Go With a V-Shape

- Boyish: The best way to greatly enhance a feminine shape is to belt whatever you happen to be wearing (to create a waist); this includes a ball gown. It is possible to find a dress with a built-in belt, but if this proves impossible, go with a dress that features a waist-side bow.
- Bottom Heavy: As with a full bust line, a "heavy bottom' is not necessarily unflattering (think Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce), but if it makes you uncomfortable, consider wearing a strapless, streamlined dress. With a strapless, attention is focused squarely on the slender shoulders and collarbone, while the A-line shape will continue to draw attention downward. The key with this look is thinking "vertical", A-line shapes, and "draping."
