Fall Fashion Colors
From LoveToKnow Womens-Fashion
The richness of nature can be seen in fall fashion colors. The warm tones of autumn inspire many designers to create their lines in colors resembling nature. However, just as trends change, colors are beginning to change and designers are expanding their color palettes for fall.
Fall Fashion Colors
Traditionally fall fashion color trends came from the warm color palette and included conventional colors such as brown, red, orange and gold. Every year at New York Fashion Week, Pantone, the most widely recognized color standard in the world, surveys designers and collects feedback on the most prominent color collections. According to the Pantone fall fashion report, there is a shift towards cool hues with bright undertones. Top fall colors chosen by designers for include:
- Blue Iris is blue with undertones of purple.
- Royal Lilac has red undertones.
- Shady Glade is a true green.
- Caribbean Sea is a turquoise blue.
- Aurora Red is a true red.
- Shitake is an understated neutral that is the color of a mushroom.
- Withered Rose is a pinkish rose with brown undertones.
- Twilight Blue is a twist on classic navy.
- Burnt Orange is a rich warm color of orange.
- Ochre is a traditional yellow with a hint of mustard.
Black remains a classic staple in fall fashion lines. It looks great when paired with a trendier color and always looks fashionable no matter what the season. Neutral colors are a fall classic as well. Tans, grays and off-whites are great basic colors that fit into any wardrobe and pair well with the new shades of fall.
Still popular from past fall seasons are rich hues including wine, espresso brown, gray with violet undertones, green moss, deep turquoise and, of course, black.
